Your Ideas Power the Applied AI Club.
Follow the link below to our Idea Submission page.
The Applied AI club sees value in ideas from its own members and all of its stakeholders.
If you care about AI at Penn State, this is how you influence what the Applied AI Club builds, studies, and experiments with next.
By sharing ideas to our Labs you are contributing toward our mission.
Introducing our Idea Base
Each semester, students test new ways of using AI in classes, projects, and internships. Most of that thinking stays local to a course or a conversation.
The Idea Base is our structured archive of student and stakeholder submissions related to AI fluency at Smeal. Anyone can contribute. Each idea becomes part of a growing record of how our community is learning and adapting.
A layered process:
Intake Layer
Students, faculty, and partners submit ideas through a public form. Each submission becomes a structured record.
Data Layer
Submissions are stored in a centralized database. Entries are searchable, filterable, and persist over time.
Analysis Layer
Applied AI Club members use Ledger - our research agent - to explore the database in natural language.
Action Layer
Insights inform club programming, partnerships, certifications, and experiments.
